Have your say on wind turbines: take the survey here

We want to identify any equestrian concerns surrounding wind turbine developments, in order to guide our policies and support our responses to planning applications. Your reply will provide evidence of equestrians' needs that can be used when responding to proposed turbine developments, and ensure that we are operating on fact and not assumption.

The survey focuses specifically on how horses and riders react when they are near to wind turbines. We are aware of the many emotive issues surrounding the use of wind turbines, but keeping all responses restricted to this one aspect will enable us to provide the best advice we can, ensuring that equestrian access, safety and welfare are maintained to the highest possible standard around wind turbines and their development.

Some equestrians are already riding or driving close to or among wind turbines but others are concerned about their safety, or that of their horses, in the vicinity of turbines. Whether your experiences are bad or good, we want to hear from you, each report creates a clearer picture of the national situation.

Please forward this to your equestrian friends and encourage them to take the survey.
