This Treasure Hunt is being held to raise funds to go towards the improvement of Bridleway 262, that runs through Dunham Farm in the Birtle area to the North West of Bury.

The entry fee is £8 per team consisting solely of members of RBBA or £10 per team otherwise.

The Treasure Hunt is open to teams of up to 4 people. You need to think of a name for your team.

Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

You must wear Hi-Viz gear of some kind eg a fluorescent tabard.

One team member must have a mobile phone and the number must be given in to the organisers before you leave for your ride.

A pen or pencil will be needed to write down the answers to the questions.

The Treasure Hunt starts and ends at The Packhorse, Elbut Lane, Birtle and will take you on bridleways and tracks in the area between Birtle and Walmersley. You will be given a map of the route to follow and a set of instructions.

As you ride you will be asked to look out for answers to a series of questions. The answers will be found in the environment through which you ride, if you are observant enough!

The ride is expected to take between 1 and 2 hours, depending on how quickly you find the answers to the clues. You will be timed and in the event of a tie the quickest team will win.

Teams will be sent off at 15 minute intervals, starting at 12 noon. You need to ring for the starting time for your team between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday 21st

July 2011. (0161 797 9688)

The results will be announced at the Bridleways meeting on Monday 25

th July 2011 which will be held at The Packhorse, Birtle from 8.30pm. Rosettes will also be given out and answers will be available.

If you experience any problems on the ride eg someone falls off and hurts themselves or you get lost ( not with the answers!!) ring the organisers.(07909843668)
